Quick note: If you follow me, you probably noticed that I post occasional photos. Unfortunately, the default display behavior on most Mastodon instances and clients crops many images unless you click on them. I hate this, as does every other photographer here, but it's not likely to change any time soon.

You can disable this broken behavior in the Mastodon web interface by unchecking a box under display preferences.

But in any case, please be aware you might not be seeing the whole photo.

It's happening: sea ice moved out between Big and Little Diomede in the middle of the Bering Strait Saturday evening (May 27) as seen in this pix shared with permission. In spite of strong currents the #seaice often gets stuck between the two islands and so hangs on longer than ice to the east and west of the two islands. With the the ice moving out large flocks of summer birds have returned, which is good news for Diomeders. #akwx #Alaska @Climatologist49 @Jdnome

@darmato has the total number of reservations also gone up? I feel like I’ve been making more reservations where I wouldn’t have been pre-pandemic.

Indian food has never been a strength in Phoenix. Lotta dull, swampy buffets out there. But this place really stands out from the crowd, IMO, and I'm pretty jazzed about it:

One of my coworkers (@greggman on Twitter, doesn't appear to have an account here) has recently released a spectacularly detailed #WebGPU tutorial site, webgpufundamentals.org/ which you should definitely check out! Worth it for the interactive diagrams alone!

Chrome 113 is rolling out to stable now! Happy #WebGPU without any flags day, ya'll!

This Moonshae map is going to be great, I am struggling with finding the colours that look good and still give an old map feel. Here I am starting to mark on the ocean currents, important for navigation, next will be ocean depth markers and trade routes. #worldbuilding #ttrpg

This guy writes absolutely stellar software. You can’t go wrong with his apps, they are always top notch! mastodon.social/@stroughtonsmi

Sol 3834 MAHLI view of the new Ubajara drill hole. The Curiosity rover is just wrapping up the Ubajara (uba-JAR-ah) drill campaign having successfully delivered samples to the SAM and ChemIn instruments. It’s mostly been slow for me on the engineering cameras, but I was able to work with the env scientists to look for dust devils (spoiler: there were none).

I have extensive skills in Agile, SDLC, Jira, Confluence, Smoke and regression testing, Postman, documentation and more. I’m in the US (NY) and am looking for something remote / WFH.

Even if you don’t have a role but see this post, PLEASE BOOST IT so someone else may see it. Thank you.

Spent a sick Saturday in bed making this thing. I just need to add 4 touch gestures and a game mechanic and a potato and you got a 4 player game going.
